Alone at Closing Time
There’s nothing to see here now except the smoke
from the near burned out cigarette that arises from
the dark brown ashtray and fills the amorphous
distance between the coin I tossed that
has yet to land back onto my
begging right palm and
dainty sip away
from pristine crystal emptiness.
