EMILY AS THE YA NOVELIST TELLS ME SHE NAMED HER MAIN CHARACTER EMILY

By Darren C. Demaree

We can shake the spray

as much as we want,

but if she wasn’t filled

with all those colors

with all that turning

nitrogen then what

we did, giving her a secret

that wasn’t her secret,

would just be vanity.

So, she found the killer

in your book? In mine

she just held the body.
